After the ride please email the completed form to the Ride Coordinator using the contact information at the bottom of the Ride Waiver form or contact the Ride Coordinator for an address if you need to use snail mail.

ALL RIDES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Helmets are required on all rides, and lights are required on night rides. Evil Step Sisters--NOTE NEW START TIME!

Distance: 60
Pace: B
Terrain: 4

The DSSF Evil Step Sisters ride is our very own (nearly) metric century ride, an annual alternative to the Cinderella Classic. This year the Cinderella is actually a week later, on 4/14, but this conflicts with our monthly Jersey Ride. So, it doesn't matter whether you got into the Cinderella this year or not--everybody can join in!

Meet us at Peets in the Castro for a 10 a.m. ride out.

Total elevation: Approximately 4,900 ft.

Route preview:
http://ridewithgps.com/routes/4350765

Heading first to Mill Valley, and then begin climbing up to Pan Toll station for a regroup, and then from there heading on up to Ridgecrest, followed by the Seven Sisters and down to Alpine Dam for another regroup. Yes, there is still more climbing out of Alpine Lake and down to Fairfax for late lunch, and then from there back to the City. This year Jeff "Anastasia" Pekrul is entertaining the notion of riding the Evil Step Sisters "backwards" by going through Fairfax, climbing up the Seven Sisters, and descending Pan Toll. A vote will be taken at the start.

For those who want bonus climbing, you can add the out & back (up & back?) of the East Peak from the Ridgecrest parking lot.

Late starters are welcome to meet at the Golden Gate Bridge about 10:30.

Meals: Bring several snack for the ride, we'll do lunch in Fairfax.

Sweeps? No

Is this a "no rider left behind" ride? No, but we will have a few regroups. We will keep an eye out for each other but if you are a new rider please either know the route or bring a map in case you get dropped from the group.

Meet at: 9:30am
Ride out at: 10:00am SHARP!
Rain cancels: rain is supposed to end early Saturday morning. If so, this ride will take place! But keep an eye on the Ride Calendar for the latest info.

Social A Ride: The Ohlone Greenway to Hideout Kitchen

Distance: 30
Pace: A
Terrain: 2

The Ohlone Greenway runs from Berkeley to Richmond along the BART right-of-way. It’s a multi-use path surrounded by dense suburbanization and is a gentle escape from the confines of the East Bay. We start at Rockridge BART and take the Greenway all the way north before turning onto San Pablo Dam Road. We’ll take a break at the Starbucks in El Sobrante before continuing on SPDR to Orinda. A short hop over St. Stephen’s Trail drops us into Lafayette for a delicious brunch at Hideout Kitchen. After refreshment the Lafayette BART station is a short distance away, or for a few additional miles you can return with us to Orinda BART.

Meet at 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. departure.

Please RSVP; this will assist in reserving a table at Hideout Kitchen. Remember to bring a bike lock.

Jersey Ride

Distance: 27/47/59 miles
Pace: A
Terrain: 3

This is the official monthly club ride for all members (guests are always welcome). The ride offers different distance and level options where once a month all DSSF club members can get out, ride and socialize with the club. The ride starts from Peet's in the Castro. There are three options so you can go at your own pace and distance so please pick the appropriate option to your level of ability, we want to make sure you enjoy the day. The rides split and regroup in Tiburon where we have lunch together as a group. This ride is usually on the second Saturday of each month; however there are a couple of exceptions for special events (see the calendar).

Distance: 27 Miles
Pace: A/C
Terrain: 3

Turn off at the end of the Sausalito bike path and go directly into Tiburon where the other riders will join you for lunch. You can ride back to San Francisco (or take the ferry to avoid climbing the Sausalito hill). This option is recommended for those who are newer to road cycling.

Distance: 47 Miles
Pace: B/C
Terrain: 3

This is a real fun loop with spectacular views! From Sausalito you have a small climb over Camino Alto before you head out and around the Tiburon Peninsula. This ride is recommended for the intermediate rider or for those who don't feel like the more strenuous third option.

Distance: 59 Miles
Pace: C
Terrain: 3

Split off from the group and make the climb up Conzelman in the Marin Headlands then climb up that small canyon, McCullough Road before heading back out to Sausalito to ride the Tiburon Loop. This is the faster paced, more advanced option with extra hills and mileage.
Meet At: Peet's Coffee in the Castro (16th and Market Streets). Please arrive between 8:30am and 8:45am for ride sign-up. Ride leaves at 9:00am.

You can find routes sheets with printable cues at:

Sebastopol Apple Blossom Ride

Distance: 37
Pace: B
Terrain: 4

The apple orchards may be dwindling in southern Sonoma county but we still go back for the blossoms come spring. Sonoma used to be the center of Gravenstein apple production and there are a few remaining orchards--Gabriel Farms, Ratzlaff Ranch, and Pleasant Hill Farm--that we will pass today. Starting in Sebastopol we head south along bumpy county farm roads before heading west and up and down short but steep hills all the way to Occidental. There we'll stop for a relaxing lunch al fresco at the Union Hotel before we then head back towards Sebastopol. But then we'll detour northward into less hilly terrain up to Trenton before we then turn back to Sebastopol. Afterwards a visit to Screaming Mimi's for ice cream is almost guaranteed!

Meet at 10 a.m. with an expected departure at 10:15 a.m.
Please RSVP.

Rain cancels: yes
Ride start:
Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 South High Street, Sebastopol

Hi all,

Four of us are doing the Chico Wildflower. Two doing the Flatflower, and two doing the Century, but probably skipping the first climb and the miles of flat almond trees (climbing Honey Run and Cherokee). Will organize a dinner on Saturday night if there's interest.

Not posting my cell number but email me at pbokovoy@aol.com and I'll send it along.
