This ride covers some of the most picturesque and challenging roads available in Sonoma County -- there's a reason the pros ride out here. We’ll do a 50-mile loop from Sebastopol west to Occidental and Duncans Mills and then back south on Hwy 1, up Coleman Valley Road, and on to Freestone and the short hop back to the cars from there.  There will be plenty of hills and rollers, and a big, steep climb up Coleman Valley Road, one of Sonoma County’s signature hills (it's the final killer climb on Levi's Gran Fondo).

Late rest/lunch stop at the heavenly Freestone Bakery (try their Egyptian ginger-fig bread, or the Fugazi, or ...). Otherwise, bring plenty of water and snacks, layers, and an extra tube or two in case of flats. Allow a minimum of 1 ½ hours drive time from the City and East Bay.

Meet just outside the gate of Ragle Ranch Park in Sebastopol at 9:15, ready to ride by 9:30 (easy street parking near the gate so you can avoid the entry fee; porta-potties available at the park). Bring those climbing legs. Co-listed with Grizzly Peak Cyclists.
