The forecast shows improvement - rain mostly ending by early tonight, then 30% chance before 9:00 a.m., then clearing after that. So we are most likely on for Sunday's ride. If it is actually raining here in Oakland at 8:30, then the ride will be cancelled. But if merely cloudy, then we're a go and we'll hope the clouds will part and the sun comes out. Any doubt, call the leader between 8:30-9:00 a.m. tomorrow (510-423-1873). Hopefully we ride.

Terrain: 3 (moderate hills with some challenges)
Total elevation gain: 3,000 ft.
This truly is a great ride. We head out Foothill and Calaveras Road to the far side of San Francisco Water's Calaveras Reservoir and turn back before the drop towards Milpitas (or you could drop down the Calaveras Wall and then come back up for some serious hardcore points!). The route is about 46 miles roundtrip. We'll have a food stop on the way back in Sunol, either at the mini-store or at
Casa Bella Bistro.
Time: 9:45 am gather with a 10:05 am departure. Time your arrival so that we can roll out as soon as the BART riders arrive. Dublin trains are scheduled to arrive at 9:41 and 10:01 am. But if you take the train arriving at 10:01 am you stand a reasonable chance of missing the start.
Meet in the Stoneridge Mall parking lot just south of the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station (not the BART parking lot). Please note this is WEST Dublin/Pleasanton BART station and not the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, ie. disembark at the second to the last stop on the Dublin line.
