Meet up at 10:15 AM for a 10:30 AM ride out
No cue sheet - this out and back has a single stop sign and one right turn!
We were unable to do the first ride in this series due to a tsunami warning. This ride is a replacement for those who can make it on MLK Day. We'll start at the Marinwood Community Center on Miller Creek Road in San Rafael. We'll take Lucas Valley Road out to Nicasio, regroup, and turn around and head back.
We'll check the weather in the morning and if there's a 30% chance of rain, will cancel and let those who are registered know. (So please preregister.)
This is a replacement for the 1st ride in a 2022 winter/spring series to help people gear up for late spring and summer riding, including the San Luis Obispo WIldflower ride, AIDS/LifeCycle or your first metric or century of the year, or ever! We'll have longer and more difficult rides as the series progresses. We'll ride routes all over the Bay Area. Most routes will be without a whole lot of stop signs and lights. We'll try not to ride in the rain, and there won't be a safety speech.
Don't have a car but want to come? Post a message to the Spokers forum on dssf.org and see if another member can help you out.
Meals: Snack stop in Nicasio. Social lunch afterwards if the group feels like it.
Is this a "no rider left behind" ride? No, but we will have a few regroups. We will keep an eye out for each other but if you are a new rider please either know the route or bring a map in case you get dropped from the group.
