The route starts at Vertigo Coffee Roasters in San Juan Bautista and heads out Salinas Road/San Juan Grade, which has rough pavement. The top of the climb is “crappy road summit” and descends to Salinas for a stop at a Starbucks. It then crosses ag land to Pezzini Farms where you can buy food. Then it’s up through Castroville and follows Elkhorn Slough to Las Lomas before heading generally eastward to Aromas and back to San Juan Bautista.
We'll check the weather in the morning and if there's a 30% chance of rain, will cancel and let those who RSVPed know. So please do RSVP.
Don't have a car but want to come? Email the ride leader for ride sharing possibilities, or if you are a member, post a message to the club’s forum.
Meals: Starbucks Salinas (RS1), lunch at Pezzini Farms (produce) and Choke Coach (deep fried artichokes), and Marshall's Market in Aromas (RS2). Food options are limited, so please plan accordingly.
