This loop is one of the well-loved routes on the Midpeninsula as well as by the club, encompassing a climb up Old La Honda Road, Haskins Hill, Stage Road, and finally Tunitas Creek Road. Starting at the Woodside Town Hall we’ll head out Mountain Home to Portola loop to ascend Old La Honda. Old La Honda is the most road bike-friendly of the roads up to Skyline, being relatively quiet and untrafficked except by cyclists. After Skyline we’ll drop down Old La Honda to Highway 84 to La Honda where we’ll turn off and climb Pescadero Creek Road (Haskins Hill), another quiet road. We’ll stop for a snack at the Loma Mar Store before going to the town of Pescadero for another snack stop at the Arcangeli Store. Then it’s north on Stage Road and its rollers before eventually hitting Highway 1 and the turn up Tunitas Creek Road, a long climb back to Skyline. Then it’s a quick descent on Kings Mountain back to Woodside.
Please check the
