Meet up at 8:15 AM for a 8:30 AM ride out
GPS file, map, and cue sheet here.

KAV Sports has offered Different Spokes a tour of their Redwood City factory, where they're 3D-printing custom helmets. Read about my experiences ordering the helmet and getting fitted here.

Our tour will start sometime around 11:30 am. We'll leave Peet's 8:30 am and ride down along the Bay. After we get out of the city, the route is fairly flat so I've posted this as a "C" paced ride.

IMPORTANT: This route has a lot of twists and turns, connections to bike paths, and detours through parking lots. It's difficult to get a route like that correct on RideWithGPS. In addition, I've heard there's a road closure at Coyote Point Park. So the group will need to stay pretty closely together at points to avoid people getting lost or dropped. Jeff Mishler and I know the route, and he's going to co-lead, so we should be good.

If anyone wants to drive down for the tour only, skipping the ride, please arrive at KAV Sports at 11:30. Their address is 924 Broadway, Redwood City.

After the tour, we'll have sandwiches at the factory, and then we can decide on a plan to get back up to the city. Options are to retrace our steps, or to ride up Woodside Road to Roberts, and then go back home via Canada and Skyline. There are nearly always headwinds coming north from the Peninsula, and if they're brutal, riders can opt for public transit at Redwood City, San Mateo, or Millbrae Caltrain, or at Millbrae BART.

Meals: I need to get the sandwich order in by Tuesday, August 30, so please register before then and I'll send details. If you register after that, bring a lunch.

Sweeps? No

Is this a "no rider left behind" ride? No, but we will have a few regroups. We will keep an eye out for each other but if you are a new rider please either know the route or bring a map in case you get dropped from the group.
