It looks like the fog might not be too thick, and I'm hankering to get out to the Headlands, so come join me if you have the evening free. Same-ish route as July's ride. It may change a bit (at our pleasure) from listed below, but the general idea is to ride from SF to the Marin Headlands and ride around on all the lovely dirt roads on offer there.

6:20 pm meet, 6:30 pm start.

I’m going to start in the Castro right after work. We can arrange places to meet on either side of the bridge for those who don’t want to start where I am starting. We’ll ride over the GG Bridge, and Conzelman Road, catching dirt where we can. From the roundabout we’ll descend the Julian trail, catch Bunker Road up to the Bunker/McCullough intersection. We'll cruise down Rodeo Valley Trail before heading up Miwok to Old Springs trail, which takes us to the Tennessee Valley parking lot. We can pause for refreshments (BYO, there’s no water at the parking lot). We’ll return to Rodeo Valley via Marincello and Bobcat, then retrace our path back to the bridge and SF.

Bring powerful front lights (I suggest at least 1000 lumens) and a rear light. We will be riding in the dark— hopefully on dirt!

Sweeps? No.

Is this a 'no rider left behind' ride? No, but we will have a few regroups. We will keep an eye out for each other. But if you are new to these routes, please bring a map in case you get dropped from the group.

30% chance of rain or greater cancels (I checked. That's VERY unlikely.)
