here.
We'll meet at the parking area at Marinwood Community Center, on Miller Creek Road just north of Lucas Valley Road. We'll head west on Lucas Valley, up Big Rock Hill, then regroup in Nicasio. From there, it's off to Point Reyes Station for lunch. Someone please stop me from ordering two pieces of pizza at
Bovine Bakery this time - it's so good, but I don't want to be carrying that with me on the way home. We'll ride down to Olema this time, and then start heading back on Sir Francis Drake to Platform Bridge, around Nicasio Reservoir with a quick stop in Nicasio before heading back up Lucas Valley to our starting point.
This is the fourth ride in a 2024 winter/spring series to help people gear up for late spring and summer riding, including the Wine Country Century, AIDS/LifeCycle, or your first metric or century of the year or ever! We'll have longer and more difficult rides as the series progresses. We'll ride routes all over the Bay Area. Most routes will be without a whole lot of stop signs and lights. We'll try not to ride in the rain, and there won't be a safety speech.
Meals: Choose from several spots in Point Reyes Station, including Bovine Bakery. This ride usually finishes up around 2:30 or 3 pm.
Sweeps? No
Is this a "no rider left behind" ride? No, but we will have a few regroups. We will keep an eye out for each other but if you are a new rider please either know the route or bring a map in case you get dropped from the group.
