Our second ride of the Fall Climbing Series to get you ready for the club ride up Mt. Hamilton (November 16) and Resolution Ride up Mount Diablo (January 1). Starting at Hal Brown Park in Kentfield this clockwise loop has three moderate climbs: White Grade, Nicasio Valley, and the west side of Lucas Valley Road. The total elevation gain is about 1,900 feet, a little more than on ride #1, but a little more challenging.
Hal Brown Park has restrooms and water. Plenty of street parking, but please do not park on the same side of the street as the park as the rangers have asked us to leave those spots free for other park users.
Please bring plenty of water and a snack. There is not a lot of water available on this route until our rest stops; sometimes the Nicasio General Store is open, sometimes not.
The route has a portapottie break at Nicasio. Then there are two rest stops, and we can decide at the start which one we want to stop at (or even possibly both).
Meet at 9:00 AM for a 9:30 AM.
