About this event
Welcome!
Join us as we ride in observance of World AIDS Day. While World AIDS Day is December 1st each year, we figured you were a little too stuffed with turkey and dressing and buying those Cyber Monday deals to go on a ride the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend. Join us as we ride in remembrance for those we have lost, in honor of those who live with HIV, and in hope for a future day when HIV/AIDS is no more.
You are encouraged to wear red, maybe even a red dress, for this ride. We'll be a big red ribbon riding the streets of San Francisco!

The Route
We’ll start our ride meeting at the National AIDS Memorial Grove at the corner of Nancy Pelosi Drive and Bowling Green Drive in Golden Gate Park. After our pre-ride activities we’ll head through the Presidio and over to the Legion of Honor, then along Ocean Beach towards our rest stop. After the rest stop you can choose to either do the Lake Merced loop for more miles, or head on back to the National AIDS Memorial Grove.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations. Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
