A midweek ride around the Three Bears in the East Bay with an added short climb up the recently reopened Wildcat Canyon but just to Old El Toyonal. Then it's a return back to Orinda where you may enjoy a post-ride lunch in downtown Orinda. We are planning a casual, no-race, slow-pace ride. The hills are green and the poppies and popping!
If you are coming by BART, a train at 8:44 AM at 16th Street Mission station is scheduled to arrive at Orinda at 9:17 AM. The train from Antioch is scheduled to arrive at 9:24 AM. Please check the BART website for changes, delays, and service alerts beforehand.
There is no food on route, so bring sufficient water and a snack. Lunch/coffee options abound in Orinda.
Meet in front of the fare gates at Orinda BART.
Meet at 9:30 AM; ride out at 9:45 AM.
NOTE: If you are driving to Orinda, the Orinda BART parking lot is not free during the week and only for BART patrons. You will need to find parking in the residential area surrounding downtown Orinda or Orinda Village. (There is parking in Orinda Village, which is a very short ride to Orinda BART.)
