Description: Get your climbing legs ready and join us for a classic fun climb up (and down) Mt. Diablo! We'll start from Pleasant Hill BART and ride via the North Gate to the ranger station for a water/restroom break, and then ride up to the top! We'll return down via the South Gate for a late lunch in Danville. Domenico's is a favorite. From there, it's on to Walnut Creek BART where we end the ride. It's a tough climb, but will be worth it with views from the top, and great descent. Dress for cool weather - it can get cold on the descent! Meals/Snacks/Water: First water/restroom stop is at the ranger station, about half way up Diablo. Then we'll ascend, where there are restrooms, water, and snacks. Our lunch in Danville comes after climbing and descending Mt Diablo, so bring enough snacks/food to hold you over.
