Let's put in some time on the bike on "Super Saturday" so as not to feel guilty about all those chicken wings, chili, chips and dip and whatever else might be on the menu at game time the following day. We'll ride the 60-mile "One Bakery" loop in West Marin. Starting at the Marinwood Community Center on Lucas Valley Road we'll head over to Nicasio and the Cheese Factory, ascend Marshall Wall, and then down the coast to Pt. Reyes Station for lunch. We then return by the Nicasio Reservoir and back up Lucas Valley. Lots of miles, some challenging hills, the big push up Marshall Wall, and then the roll down the coast either to the Bovine Bakery for lunch or the leader's new preference of the picnic tables and coffee hut at the feed store on the other side of the street.
Time: Meet at 9:45 am with roll out at 10 am.
Location: Marinwood Community Center, at the intersection of Lucas Valley Road and Miller Creek.
Bring snacks to get you through until our late-ride stop in Pt. Reyes Station.
Note: 20% or better chance of rain will POSTPONE UNTIL SUPER SUNDAY ( ie. 2/2/20)– call/email leader by 8:30 am that morning if in doubt.
Those wishing to shave off mileage are welcome to meet the group in Nicasio at approximately 10:30-10:45 am, which will reduce the overall mileage to about 40 miles.
