Bovine Bakery Loop

YOU MUST READ THE DSSF Preliminary Health and Safety Plan AND AGREE TO FOLLOW IT IN ORDER TO JOIN THIS RIDE. ALSO, TO JOIN THIS RIDE YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER. (Limit of 8)

Pace: C (brisk, few stops)
Terrain: 3 (moderate hills with some challenges)
Distance: 42 miles
Elevation gain: about 2,000 ft. (RWGPS estimate)

This is the first of a planned series of “bakery loops” that Joan and Jeff will lead in the next few months.

This ride will begin with a review of the club's Health and Safety Plan for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Bring a face covering and plan to wear it at all times. Also plan to keep 'socially distant' from other riders when stopped, and no drafting or riding close to others.

This is a moderately hilly ride through some of the most beautiful areas of Marin County. We will meet in the parking lot at the Corte Madera town park, and warm up by riding through Ross, San Anselmo and Fairfax before we climb White Hill on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and another hill on Nicasio Valley Road. We will pause in Nicasio before rounding the reservoir and heading to Point Reyes Station, where will have lunch. Then returning to Fairfax via Samuel P. Taylor State Park and Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and finally retracing our steps back to Corte Madera.

Snacks are available in several towns along the route but we plan to stop only in Nicasio and Pt. Reyes Station, where we will have lunch.

Meet at 9 am with a 9:15 roll out.

Note that this ride has no designated sweep and it is not a 'no rider left behind' ride.

No cue sheet or map will be given at the start but you can download both from:
