This ride is a series of moderate climbs with just one 10% kicker up Norris Canyon. Starting at Orinda BART we head south to Moraga and take the southern leg of Pinehurst before turning south onto Redwood Road climbing and descending to Castro Valley. From there we head to Crow Canyon Road and climb up and then turn off onto quiet Norris Canyon. One long climb later into ranchland we descend quickly to San Ramon. From there it's an easy roll up Danville Boulevard to Danville for a lunch stop at Henhouse before returning to Orinda. For a cue sheet, map, and GPS track, go

Bring water and snacks. Please check the weather forecast beforehand and dress appropriately. If coming by BART to Orinda, check the
BART website for any train delays or schedule changes. Trains typically arrive in Orinda around 9:30 AM and since they are only every half-hour, you will want to make sure you do not take a later train.
Henhouse specializes in chicken and has killer fried chicken sandwiches. It has exactly one vegetarian option, a veggie sandwich subbing fried cauliflower for chicken, but plenty of other chicken choices. We'll eat outside at the picnic tables. (Wear a face mask when ordering please.)
Meet at 9:30 AM with a 9:45 AM roll out.
Rain cancels. Contact ride host if weather is questionable.
