How could a ride that goes up Lucas Valley Road through Nicasio be anything but fabulous? We'll start at the Marinwood Community Center on Miller Creek Road in San Rafael. We'll take Lucas Valley Road out to Nicasio, then continue up the road a bit further, turning right onto Point Reyes - Petaluma Road and then up L'Alpe du Fromage, which is not nearly as pretty in English ("Cheese Factory Hill"). We'll stop at the Marin French Cheese Company for lunch, then turn back and return the way we came. There are only a couple of stop signs on the whole route.
We'll check the weather in the morning and if there's a 30% chance of rain, will cancel and let those who are registered know. (So please preregister.)
