Join me on my almost bi-weekly after-work pilgrimage to the Marin Headlands. Rodeo Beach is the destination. Dirt trails and roads are the path (almost 50% of the time).
4:20 pm meet, 4:30 pm start.
We’ll leave from Jane Warner plaza at Castro and 18th. We can arrange places to meet on either side of the bridge if you’d like. We’ll ride over the GG Bridge, and Conzelman Road, catching dirt where we can. From the roundabout we’ll descend the Julian trail, catch Bunker Road up to the Bunker/McCullough intersection. We'll cruise down Rodeo Valley Trail and on to Rodeo Beach, where I will pause for refreshments (There is water at the parking lot). We’ll loop up around Battery Townsley before retracing our route back to the city.
Those of you that prefer road riding can definitely join this ride, as there are parallel paved routes and plenty of places where we can regroup.
We won’t be doing any after-dark trail work, but bring a city-worthy front and rear light as it will be after sunset by the time we get back to the city.
Sweeps? No.
Is this a 'no rider left behind' ride? No, but we will have a few regroups. We will keep an eye out for each other. But if you are new to these routes, please bring a map in case you get dropped from the group.
30% chance of rain or greater cancels.
